On October 19, the time had come again – the international day of the gin and tonic was celebrated. A funny holiday, which is taken around the world by the gin manufacturers of course to draw attention to their products. So it should be!
For almost a year now, I have been publishing the online format of #GinTalk at various intervals. For the current issue, I met Eric Bergmann from Jigger & Spoon in Stuttgart. To get to his bar, you press the -2 button in the elevator and end up in a former bank vault. Eric and his team took the trouble some time ago to put holes in the thickest concrete. By the way, I don’t know if he would be a perfect bank robber colleague today 😉 But back to the gin and tonic. We took the Gin 27 from the Appenzeller in front of the nose and on the palate. Which tonic water goes best with it and how should the decoration look like. Just take a look at the video:
It was fun to chat with such a qualified spirits expert about gin and tonic. Even if the whole world knows that Eric Bergmann is a champagne expert.
