It’s Gin o’clock – Gin infused Dinner it is announced by Frank Buchholz and Peter Jauch
on Friday, May 6, 2022 in Mainz. The two ring in the summer with a new dinner concept. Frank Buchholz grabs the “GIN” book author Peter Jauch with in the kitchen. Together they develop a delicious, summery 4 – course menu. The individual gin products are incorporated differently into the dishes. In the first tests, the dishes harmonized perfectly with the gin. In each course, a different gin takes center stage. And don’t worry, the gin complements the flavors of the dishes in the plate and never overdoes them. Enjoyment is always in the foreground at Frank Buchholz.

Who is Frank Buchholz? Regionality without borders. Frank Buchholz has been a curious traveler and culinary explorer all his life. He is particularly fond of the Mediterranean countries, the quality of the ingredients and the proverbial simplicity of the dishes. He is inspired by the regions he travels to and brings his experiences, discoveries and ideas back to his home in Mainz. He appropriates the best products and recipes and brings them to his guests’ plates with care and respect – inspirations from all over the world, interpreted regionally. It is no wonder that Frank Buchholz chose a location directly on the water with its own harbor for the boathouse: always open to influences from outside, new people, new tastes. Who is Peter Jauch? Author of the only coffee table book on gin “GIN – Das Buch” published by AT Verlag. As a journalist he also writes for Meininger Verlag and the Swiss business magazine “BILANZ”. In his column “Jauch’s 5” he takes the readers of the online portal about-drinks.com on his pleasure journeys. In Switzerland, he organizes the “GIN Erlebnis Festival” and “about spirits @Kraftwerk.” Jauch is a classic experience manager.
